Statice – Hipster Apricot

~60 Seeds

Statice Hipster Apricot is a beautiful cut flower with soft apricot blooms that dry perfectly and hold their colour for months. This unique statice variety produces airy sprays of papery flowers in warm apricot and peach tones that add a soft, vintage look to bouquets and dried arrangements. The plants are well-branched and productive, making them an excellent choice for cut flower growers and home gardeners alike. Statice is very easy to grow, drought tolerant once established, and blooms over a long period in summer. The flowers are excellent for fresh bouquets, but truly shine as dried flowers, keeping their colour far better than many other varieties. Pollinators also enjoy statice in the garden while it’s in bloom.

Compared to QIS Apricot statice, Hipster Apricot typically has a softer, more muted apricot tone and slightly more airy, branching stems. QIS Apricot is known for very uniform plants and slightly larger flower clusters, while Hipster Apricot has a more natural, delicate look that works beautifully in mixed bouquets and dried flower arrangements.

Statice prefers well-drained soil and full sun. Avoid overwatering once plants are established. Harvest flowers when fully open for fresh use, or when colour is fully developed for drying. Hang upside down in a dry, dark location for best dried flowers.
