100+ Seeds - Allium cepa
Rouge De Saint Trojean is a pink sweet onion with good winter storage. This vigorously growing old heirloom was traditionally produced in the sandy soils of the Ile d’Oléron in France, popular for its culinary properties and great flavour.
Harvest the onions when the bulbs have reached their desired size and the tops have started to yellow and fall over.

Planting Instructions:
- Plant onion seeds outdoors in early spring or indoors in late winter and early spring, and transplant 2-4 weeks after the last frost date. Scallions can be direct sown every 3 weeks from two weeks after the last frost date to late summer.
- Sow the seeds 1/4 inch (6 mm) deep in well-draining soil enriched with compost or organic matter. If planting indoors, sow seeds densely, as they can easily be separating when planting outside later.
- Trim the onions to 1.5 inches from the base once they have reached about 4 inches high. This encourages stronger, bigger roots.
- Space the seeds or seedlings about 4-6 inches (10-15 cm) apart in rows that are 12-18 inches (30-45 cm) apart.
- Seeds should germinate within 7-14 days.
- As the onions grow, thin them to the final spacing recommended for mature bulbs, typically 4-6 inches (10-15 cm) apart.
- Cure onions for storage up to 5 months
