Walla Walla Onion (Allium cepa 'Walla Walla') is a popular sweet onion variety known for its mild, sweet flavor and large, globe-shaped bulbs.

Planting Instructions:
- Plant Walla Walla Onion seeds outdoors in early spring or indoors in late winter and early spring, and transplant 2-4 weeks after the last frost date.
- Sow the seeds 1/4 inch (6 mm) deep in well-draining soil enriched with compost or organic matter. If planting indoors, sow seeds densely, as they can easily be seperating when planting outside later.
- Trim the onions to 1.5 inches from the base once they have reached about 4 inches high. This encourages stronger, bigger roots.
- Space the seeds or seedlings about 4-6 inches (10-15 cm) apart in rows that are 12-18 inches (30-45 cm) apart.
- Walla Walla Onions typically grow to a height of 10-12 inches (25-30 cm).
- Seeds should germinate within 7-14 days.
- As the onions grow, thin them to the final spacing recommended for mature bulbs, typically 4-6 inches (10-15 cm) apart.
