Mimosa Pudica is a tropical plant native to Central and South America that goes by many names. It’s a “creeping” herb with delicate fern-like leaves and little pink “pom pom" shaped flowers.

The “Sensitive Plant” is known for closing up when touched. It’s leaves have fine hairs that sense any movement. They also close up at night.

 It can be grown as a houseplant or as an annual in cooler climates. In warmer climates it can become invasive.

 The plant, particularly the seed is known for many medicinal qualities as well.
