~25 Lupine Seeds
A hardy, long-lived perennial, Lupine – Chatelaine is part of the renowned Russell Hybrids Band of Nobles series.
It's sweetly scented, bicolour blooms feature soft pink petals accented with crisp white, creating a striking vertical display.
Each plant produces multiple flower spikes on sturdy, upright stems, with blooms densely packed with ½" pea-like flowers. In our trials, first-year plants began flowering in early July, while well-established plants in their second year bloomed about a month earlier, in early June, with even better bloom quality and abundance.
Thriving best in areas with cool summers, this variety is a magnet for bees and hummingbirds, while typically avoiding damage from deer and rabbits. Blooms reach 1–2 feet tall and provide long-lasting garden interest.

Growing Instructions:
Seed Depth: 3 mm (1/8")
Indoors: Sow about 6–8 weeks (some sources say spring directly after frost) before the last expected frost. Nick or lightly scarify seeds and soak overnight before sowing in peat pots or cell packs—not flats (using individual pots to avoid root disturbance). Moderate temperatures around 18–24 °C (65–75 °F) are ideal; heat mats aren’t needed
Outdoors (preferred): Direct sow after the last frost; spacing of 30–60 cm (12–24 inches); thin to strongest seedlings.
Days to germination: 14–21 days
