Growing Instructions:

Starting Indoors: For an early start, sow seeds indoors 8 - 10 weeks before your last spring frost. Plant seeds ¼ inch (6 mm) deep in seed-starting mix and keep them at 18–21°C (65–70°F) for best germination. Once seedlings have 2–3 sets of leaves, harden them off by gradually introducing them to outdoor conditions over a week. Transplant to the garden when they are 4–6 weeks old and daytime temperatures stay above 10°C (50°F).

Direct Sowing Outdoors: In areas with mild springs, seeds can be sown directly in the garden 2–4 weeks before the last frost. Once seedlings are a few inches tall, thin to appropriate spacing.

Growing Tip:

• If outdoors, cover young plants and seedlings with insect netting or frost cloth to protect from flea beetles, who love to feast on tender brassicas.
