**PLANT THIS FALL OR START INDOORS EARLY**

A stunning plant with silvery leaves and pink blossoms that attract hummingbirds, Monarch butterflies and Monarch caterpillars!

Growing 2- 4 feet high and 2- 4 feet wide, they are a dramatic plant that demands attention. Once the blooms are done, striking "spikey" seed pods form that are 2- 4 inches long. The pods develop large seeds with fluffy down.

This plant is pretty tough and can handle drier conditions, including poor soil and rocky conditions, making it perfect for naturalized areas like wildflower gardens, open fields and meadows. Minimal water is needed as Milkweed prefers drier soil
Sun: full sun
Zone 3 - 9

Space: 2' apart
Depth:1/4"

Sow: indoors: at 10 weeks before last frost, cold stratify by placing between moist paper towels in a plastic bag and leaving in fridge for 5 weeks. To increase germination, use "Scarification" (shake in container of sand for 30-sec or rub with sand paper). Sow in trays or peat pots to avoid transplant shock of the tap root. Outdoors: sow in fall, keep moist for spring germination.

**Warning: toxic to humans and animals (cats, dogs, horses). Handle with care **
