A member of the carrot family, Dara is a popular cut flower with lacy umbels that are 3 - 5" wide, similar to (but not) Queen Anne's Lace. The plant grows similar to dill with flowers in shades of dark purple, pink, or white.

Sow: direct seed (recommended) - in early spring after last frost. Indoors: 4 - 6 weeks before last frost, using peat pots to reduce transplant shock. Tips: chill seed at 40-45F(5-8C) for 1-2 weeks prior to sowing indoors. Cooler temperatures of 58-62F(14-17C) are best for seedling establishment.
