Nasturtium – Tip Top Alaska Salmon

25 Seeds

Nasturtium Tip Top Alaska Salmon is a compact, early-blooming nasturtium with beautiful soft salmon-coloured flowers and striking variegated foliage. This variety is especially valued for its creamy green-and-white leaves, which add visual interest even before the plants begin to bloom. The plants stay neat and bushy rather than trailing, making them perfect for containers, borders, and small garden spaces. Nasturtiums are easy to grow, thrive in poorer soils, and bloom all summer with very little maintenance. The flowers are also edible, with a mild peppery flavour that works well in salads and as a garnish. Pollinators love them, and many gardeners plant nasturtiums near vegetables to help attract beneficial insects. If you want a low-maintenance flower that is both ornamental and useful, this is an excellent choice.

Growing Instructions
Direct sow outdoors after the danger of frost has passed, as nasturtiums do not like being transplanted. Plant seeds about 1–2 cm deep in average to poor soil. Avoid overly rich soil, as this will produce more leaves and fewer flowers. Water regularly until established, then plants are fairly drought tolerant. Deadheading will encourage continuous blooming throughout the season.
